Weingut Nehrer

The winery Nehrer is a family business in St. Georgen, a district of Eisenstadt am Leithagebirge and currently cultivates about 21.5 hectares of vineyards. In 1962, the winery Nehrer was founded, but the first vineyards date back to the 16th and 17th centuries. The locations of the winery are all in the immediate vicinity of St. Georgen, both at the foot of the Leitha Mountains and on the southeast slopes. The main varieties are Chardonnay and Welschriesling followed by Sauvignon Blanc and Grüner Veltliner in the case of white wines as well as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Merlot in the case of red wines. In addition, a few vineyards with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir are farmed. Every year, 100,000 to 120,000 bottles are filled with wine of Weingut Nehrer. A constant pursuit of improvement and perfection is a prerequisite for winemakers for the producing of typical, elegant and characterful wines.
