Weingut Sommer

In Donnerskirchen, where their ancestors started to make wine as early as 1698, the Sommer family has dedicated its life to wine making. The family cultivates vineyards on the south-east facing slopes of the Leithagebirge. The predominantly soil is slate, which allows the production of minerally fruity white and powerfully tasty red wines. Certain micro-climatic conditions and primary rock soil let traditional Austrian grape varieties develop to fruit-concentrated wines with distinct character.
