The SOMMELIER UNION AUSTRIA was founded in 1998 (as Sommelier Association Austria) on the occasion of the Sommelier World Championship in Vienna. As an umbrella organization for all sommeliers in Austria, it combines the individual regional associations. Since 2008 the Tyrolean Annemarie Foidl is president of the SOMMELIER UNION AUSTRIA and represents their interests nationally and internationally.
