Chardonnay GG from our monopol VDP.Große Lage PAGODE. A creamy Chardonnay with clear, yellow fruit aromas and fine acidity. Barrique aging with very fine, elegant tannin structure, refined by the minerality of the volcanic rock soil at Ihringer Winklerberg - the southern tip of the Kaiserstuhl. A never-ending, mouth filling Chardonnay with a delicate mineral finish.

Located in the middle of the Rhine plain about 50 km from Basel and only a few kilometers from the Rhine, it is one of the most favorable vineyards in Germany. It forms the southern foothills of the Kaiserstuhl at 200-280 m above sea level. The heat-storing volcanic rock absorbs the sun's heat during the day and radiates it back at night. A wonderful basis for great wines: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir grow here to great growths. On the plateau of the southern tip is our monopol PAGODE, with unique character and incredibly long-lived wines.
