Dark ruby red, red berry aromas of cherries, cranberries and rose hips on the palate, spicy red pepper and liquorice, underpinned by a subtle smokiness. The precise, animating acidity, the taut tannin with fine grain and a salty minerality dominate the palate. A lively Blaufränkisch, which is influenced by the shelly limestone soil and shows a cool style.

This wine lives on fruit and spice. As such, it harmonises with meat dishes such as beef or game. It is also perfect with root sauces, as the wine‘s animating acidity lightens up these sumptuous dishes.
