Description
The cool climate site “Adamsbergen” was almost forgotten. We re-planted vines there since this meagre soil produces Pinot grapes that unite power and elegance. Yellow fruit, pineapple and mango, as well as hints of orange zests on the nose. Mature, full bodied and juicy on the palate. Falstaff 93 points.

Vineyard: Ried Adamsbergen
Single vineyard Ried Adamsbergen (north slope), Herrnbaumgarten. The cool climate site “Adamsbergen” was almost forgotten. We re-planted vines there since this meagre soil produces Pinot grapes that unite power and elegance.
Vinification
De-stemmed, long maceration (12 h) with moderate must oxidisation. Spontaneous fermentation at room temperature in 600-litre wooden barrels. Left on gross lees until August, then directly racked from the lees and bottled.
Food Pairing
Minced veal butter schnitzel, rabbit, dishes with spicy sauces.
